University of Virginia
Sexual Assault Leadership Council

The Sexual Assault Leadership Council is the umbrella organization of sexual assault-related student groups at UVa. SALC consists of the three student peer education groups (SAFE, SAPA, and 1 in 4) and two feminist groups (AWAKE and NOW). SALC coordinates the efforts of these groups, helps organize Take Back the Night in the spring and Domestic Violence Awareness Week in the fall, and works to develop and refine the presentations of each of the peer education groups.
