Sexual and Domestic Violence Services (SDVS) Home

Welcome to the New SDVS Site!

In order to better serve the UVa community, the Sexual and Domestic Violence Services has revamped and migrated its website. Most of the information you'll find here is the same as that on the old Sexual Assault Education Office (SAEO) site that lives at http://sexualassault.virginia.edu. We've reorganized the pages and housed it in a design that integrates with the Women's Center site, because SDVS is now officially an office within the Center.

Alert Please pardon the ongoing construction. New material is still in development for several pages. Improvements to the graphic look and navigation will gradually be implemented in an effort to make the site ever more useful. If you have any questions about material that you can't find, contact SDVS Director Claire Kaplan at cnk2r@virginia.edu. If you find any problems with the workings of the site itself, please contact the Women's Center webmaster, Andrew Plemmons Pratt, at app8k@virginia.edu.

The SDVS Mission:

To educate students, staff, and faculty at the University of Virginia about interpersonal violence in general, and violence against women in particular, in order to reduce these crimes on Grounds. We provide support and advocacy to members of our community who have concerns about sexual assault, dating/domestic violence (battering), and stalking. Our goals are to strengthen services for survivors and the University of Virginia policies and procedures that address these issues.

Be a part of the solution!
