and feelings that vary among cultures. This variation can be the source
of confusion, misunderstanding, and conflict. Cultural values relating
to assertiveness, aggression and violence are also areas of potential
confusion and conflict.
Also, as a member of a minority group, you are a survivor of racism and prejudice. All these factors, in addition to the unique aspects of your own history, may influence your response to an assault.
